PLASTIC PALLETS

Plastic Pallets

Plastic pallets offer clear ecological, cost and safety advantages over wood or metal pallets. Plastic pallets are lightweight, durable and reusable, providing a lower total cost of ownership than wood or metal pallets.

CARDBOARD PALLETS

Cardboard Pallets are lightweight and therefore ideal shipping. A cardboard pallet is constructed out of corrugated cardboard sheets bonded with strong paper. A bottom layer is constructed from flat cardboard sheets, then spacers are created to allow for forklift blades. Two layers of cardboard form the top layer, upon which lightweight cargo may be stacked. Currently, the cardboard pallet is considered to be a disposable commodity with limited capacities.

  •  Simple, clean effective design
  •  No insect treatments required
  •  One-fifth regular pallet weight
  •  Cost effectiveness
  •  No splinters, nails, or sharp corners
  •  Manufacturing flexibility
  •  100% Recyclable
  •  Environmentally Friendly

FOAM PALLETS

HEAT TREATED

Compliance with ISPM-15 for wood packaging materials allows for two treatment options:

Heat Treatment (HT): Wood packaging material should be heated in a schedule that achieves a minimum core temperature of 56șC for a minimum of 30 minutes. The American Lumber Standards Committee administers the U.S. certification program for heat treatment.

Methyl Bromide (MB) Fumigation: The wood packaging material should be fumigated with methyl bromide. NWPCA has been tasked by the U.S. Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service to administer the fumigation program.

NOTE: ISPM 15 requirements apply to all species of coniferous (softwood) and non-coniferous (hardwood) packaging materials. Hardwood is no longer exempt.

Shipping platforms molded from impact resistant plastic resins (typically a one piece, high density polyethylene resin).

Structural foam pallets are made of plastic resin that are mixed with gases using a low pressure molding process to create small air cells within the plastic-- creating stronger (tiny interior ribbing structure) and lighter weight parts walls and bases with solid skin surface.

  • Available in standard (i.e. 45” x 48”, 40” x 48”) or custom sizes.
  •  Durable, impact resistant materials.
  •  Outside lip available to secure totes/containers on pallet deck.
